In 2022, for several weeks The North East Health Network commemorated Menstrual Hygiene Day and International Women's Day by visiting several IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) camps and sharing hygiene products with women. The aim was to educate women about the importance of menstrual hygiene and provide them with essential products to ensure that their health and dignity are preserved during their menstrual cycle.

The team from the North East Health Network arrived at the IDP camps and set up a booth to distribute menstrual hygiene products such as sanitary pads and panty liners. The women were also provided with educational materials that explained the importance of menstrual hygiene and how to maintain good hygiene practices during their periods.

The team of health workers then organized interactive sessions with the women to educate them about menstrual hygiene and the dangers of poor hygiene practices during their periods. The women were also provided with information on how to use the menstrual hygiene products that they had received and how to dispose of them properly.

In addition to distributing menstrual hygiene products, the team from the North East Health Network also provided the women with information on reproductive health and how to take care of their bodies during their menstrual cycle. They emphasized the importance of regular check-ups and seeking medical attention if there are any health concerns.
